Can i use oil of oregano for my acne during my pregnancy? Since I have found out that I am preggers, I've been breaking out like crazy. I had this acne problem before and Oil of oregano was the only thing that helped me.... But now that i'm preggers I'm not sure if i can use it.... I dont swollow it at all...its just mixed in my face cleaner and spot treatments. Help! thanks, yeah I knew since it was natural that it may have not been safe. not all are safe. And oregano oil is such a strong antibacterial. But I also looked online and found that taking orally stimulate ur menstrual cycle. But since its spot treatments and a face cleaner I'm not sure. ugh.

Dewdrop replied: "Yes! You can FOR SURE use Oil of oregano while pregnant. : )"

McCartney replied: "hello. well yes you can still use it. its natural and herbs so it wont effect your baby at all. as long as its not chemicals you will be fine. but stay away from hair dyes and DO NOT use hairspray and chemical cleaning products. if you dont use those then you will be absolutely fine. Hope this helps(:"

caught in the rain replied: "I looked into weather it was safe to take orally during my pregnancy, and the answer was no. But since you're just using on your for face...I'm not sure. I do know that anything you put on your skin gets absorbed into your body, so maybe it's better not to. I couldn't even stand the smell of it when I was was pregnant! ***Just because it's a herb does NOT mean that it is safe like the above person mentioned. They're are many many herbs that can effect your baby and cause miscarriages. Here is a list I just copies and pasted...and Oil of oregano is on it. Its not a uterine stimulant, but I think it can this the blood. Anthraquinone Laxative * Aloe * Buckthorn * Cascara Sagrada * Docks * Meadow Saffron * Senna Uterine Stimulant * American Mandrake * Black Cohosh * Blue Cohosh * Bloodroot * Calamus * Cascara Sagrada * Cayenne * Fennel * Feverfew * Flax Seed * Goldenseal * Lady's Mantle * Licorice * Make Fern * Mayapple * Mistletoe * Passion Flower * Pennyroyal * Periwinkle * Poke Root * Rhubarb * Sage * Senna * Tansy * Thuja * Thyme * Wild Cherry * Wormwood Alkaloids/Bitter Priciples * Barberry * Bloodroot * Celandine * Cinchona * Ephedra * Goldenseal * Wild Cherry Essential Oils * Calamus * Cayenne * Fennel * Juniper * Lavender * Marjoram * Oregano * Passion Flower * Rosemary * Sage * Thuja * Thyme * Yarrow Emmenogogue * Cascara Sagrada * Cotton-Root Bark * Lady's Mantle * Licorice * Mayapple * Thyme * Wormwood * Yarrow * Mistletoe * Passion Flower * Pennyroyal * Periwinkle * Poke Root * Rhubarb * Senna * Tansy * Thuja * Rue"

Since oil of oregano is an antinflamatory can it be taken internally to reduce/prevent acne. Any other herb? Looking for natural products for acne...either topical or taken orally. Been to dermatologists (not much help) and taken antibiotics---interested in something natural and better.

Tennille T replied: "I’ve heard that three cloves of garlic a day can help prevent acne. If you take them and put them in a blender with some V8 then it tastes just like a spicy V8. Tea tree oil is good for acne, but it can dry the skin. It may be better to dilute it. I have also tried one or two egg whites whipped with a tsp of honey and one or two tsps of lemon juice. Let this sit on your face for 10-15 min and do this about 3 times a week, if your face gets to dry then you can include the yolk. Best of luck.. If you look online you can find lots of stuff on home remedies. There are also lots of books on the subject, try checking some out at the library. :) "

Oil of Oregano. Have you used it as a natural antibiotic? Is Oil of Oregano a good substitute for antibiotics? Can it be as good as, or better than prescription antibiotics? For anything that needs to be treated with antibiotics whether it is for flu, UTI, acne, etc . Have you taken Oil of Oregano for any infection and found it to be effective? Thanks This is the Wild Mediterreanen Oil and not aromatherapy oils from the same family, such as Marjoram and Thyme.

Jabril replied: "Oh my stars - do I ever preach about that stuff. Yes, to all you're stating. I have used Oregano oil for wasps, bee stings. another one you might wanna learn more about: Olive Leaf Extractâ—™"

Mawia replied: "I have 2 drops of Oil of Oregano every day. No flu, no colds all winter. I can't say enough good things about it."

belladonnasmoon replied: "good mornin...this an so many other oils are kept from the front lines because of the loss on the money an there synthetic crap they push on us.as any other herb you should always start with a small amount and work your way up.it is used for an antibiotic, everything in the herb world as far as Im concerned is better for you than all the stuff.even though they start with original herbal bases, its all the fillers an side effects that get are bodies later in life.so would I recommend it yes.how an what you put in your body is up to you...always get all the information an if your taking any prescriptions make sure you ask your doctor.and thyme oil is great for your hair an keeping it soft.I have curly hair,an it works great.blessed be......!"

I know it has gotten rid of my acne, and helps with my breathing, so is all this other stuff true, too?

Demonia replied: "It doesn't work the same for everyone, but it helps practically everything. It depends on dosage, body weight, etc."

oldtimekid2 replied: "I would say a resounding yes, but not necessarily. In and of itself, Oregano Oil is good for Gastrointestinal, Respiratory, and Urinary Tract health, but I have had some customers tell me that they use it for antiviral/antibacterial properties. The main problem is that each and every one of those might be helped by Oregano Oil, but it really depends on what's causing the problem. For example, if you have arthritis from joint tissues that have been destroyed/damaged, it won't really help... but if it's from minor inflammation, it might help a lot. Supplements in general work by giving your body nutrients it may be otherwise lacking... each of those ailments could be caused by lacked nutrition that Oregano Oil can provide, but not all of them will."

Samir S replied: "I searched for the side effects of Oregano oil and got this article. Hope it helps you find the answer you want."
